Coach Aniya Joseph started her playing career in Texas, where she earned numerous accolades such as UIL Offensive Player of the Year, Area Playoff Player of the Game, and Harlan Hawk Athlete of the Year. In 2023, she helped her team earn a UIL Texas Class 6 Volleyball State Championship and was named to the State Tournament Team. She was also voted unanimously as the UIL District MVP.

After high school, Aniya continued her playing career at Missouri State University for their indoor volleyball team. After a career-ending injury, she wanted to continue making an impact in the sport and joined the CSDP coaching staff. Since the beginning of 2026, she has earned valuable coaching experience as a CSDP Futures Program coach and CSDP Clinician and continues to advance in the CSDP coaching staff.
