Coach Kaitlyn Messina brings a strong background as a player and as a coach to the CSDP staff. As a player, she helped her team at Strafford High School earn 2nd Place finishes at the MSHSAA Class 2 State Volleyball Championships in both 2015 and 2018.

Kaitlyn continued her playing career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, before coming back home and starting her coaching career. Kaitlyn has experience at both the middle school and high school levels for various MSHSAA programs. She is currently an assistant coach at Nixa High School for both the boys and girls indoor volleyball programs. In 2025, the girls program earned a 3rd Place finish at the MSHSAA Class 5 State Championship Tournament.

Kaitlyn has also been club coaching for four years, focusing on the development of young athletes and encouraging their love of the game. She has served as a CSDP camp clinician and coach over the years and continues to give back to the sport.
